Lost?

Is there any way not to get lost on the internet. No, I'm not talking about the show...well, actually, I guess I am. You see, if theres any thing that keeps me from doing anything else (when I'm on a computer that is) it the lure of looking for that DVD. The DVD. The one that will give me the full fullness of lifeness in the universe.
I have many weknesses. Laziness. Food. Etc. But the one that can cast a shadow over them all, like that dam space ship in Indipendance day on the white house, is DVD shopping. What is it about a single disc of plastic that can make me feel so happy. Or maybe it's the cleverly designed boxes that fold out and stuff (happiness). But I love it, looking for that movie that I know will flick that switch, make me happy, get me laughin and cryin and everything. I now frequent my presence on about a dozen diffrent DVD websites, looking for "Sunshine of the spotless Mind" for 5.99 or "The Shawshank Redemption" special edition for 7.99. I love, I wannan know where the deals are, the latest sale. The big deal. I'm addicted I guess.
So, the latest trap of love was the almost unmissable offer of the season 1-5 of the simpsons. BlahDVD.com + 60quid = a very happy Scotsman.
Oh well, reistance is futile I guess.

Extras

Just got through some of the first series of "Extras", the new comedy by Ricky Gervais. Ben Stiller's guest aperance filled me with the kind of Joy that can only be found in a Ben Stiller camio (which seems to be happening more and more in the films I watch, I can't seem to get through a film without his pudgy little face turning up and being all angry...erk).
Well, anyway, just to say it's worth a watch as long as you don't mind the occasional scuzzy joke.

Pictures Ahoy

I just started a quicky Flikr account. Check out my currently tiny collection of photos and photoshops.

Quiz Night Champions

There was a Quiz Night last night at St. Combs Community Church.

"Why would you mention such a thing, Fraser?" you might ask.

"Well," I would reply, "maybe I mentioned it because I knew which team won.".

At this point you would realize that I was on the team that won and probably only ask the next question to humor me.

"Who won, Fraser?"

I would then respond in a tone that could be miss-represented as smugness and there would then be an uncomfortable silence. But the uncomfortableness would not be noticed by me as I would be spending my time wallowing in my own victory.

Check the funky fresh t-shirt I won

Big up to Forbes Snr who knows more about movies than I do.

A new craze is sweeping the North East corner of Scotland. And St Combs Community Church is no exception as dozen of young people gather together for the latest in indoor sports. Chair Jumping. The phenomenon, first started by Mr S Flybie, is dominating the athletics world. The record is currently held by joint competitors. Last Tuesdays event was a sight to behold as competitors from over the Buckie area competed for the grand prize of the last jaffa cake. Several athletes are currently being spotted for a Pepsi sponsorship.

I am Blogging

Seriously, this is not an attempt to dribble a whole bunch of nonsense on the internet. Basically, the internet has sucked most of my later 20-something years, as I spend continuous hours watching crazy videos of people playing ping-pong, or bizarre animated music videos using some off-the-wall Japanese series dubbed to look like they're singing a weird al song. Even just the general lure of buying crap off amazon.com has made me realize that the internet has done nothing in my life but take, take, take. So, here I am, starting to take a bit back. Using this lovely free service to tell a whole bunch of people how I feel. How a sunset made me look inward on the beauty that is life. That is what this Blog is for. The internet has served me so much crap since my first day infront of a computer with a dial-up modem, it's now time to crap back.

As for those who read this, well, I can only hope you enjoy this slice of mind spasms. It's not like you can't enjoy rubbish, as long as you go for a jog afterwards.

How was that?
